~ ADVANCED Wilderness First Aid Cert Course ~

         

 

The Advanced WFA course incorporates and surpasses the standard WFA course:

  • Double the duration (32 instead of 16 hours) gives much more time for:

    • more hands-on practice via mock injury / mock illness scenarios

    • more time for questions and greater depth into the standard WFA course topics

    • additional course topics and skills sessions, including:

      • top 20 expedition problems & solutions

      • dislocations

      • traction splints

      • pneumo- / hemothorax

      • flail chest

      • seizure

      • stroke

      • diabetes

      • hyperventilation

      • pneumonia

      • drowning

Who:  Open to the general public.  Instructor:  Matt Rosefsky, Wilderness EMT

When & Where:  (all courses run 8:30am - 5:30pm each course day)

          ·April 2-5, 2010:  Advanced WFA (flyer) at Ferrum College, Ferrum, VA

Coststandard WFA course fee plus $130 general public / $120 OASC Members
(double the course time but less than double the fee)
