Waterfall Hiking, Swimming & Sliding ~
Year 'round, waterfalls are a spectacular sight, and there are many
beautiful ones within a short drive of Charlottesville. We
have explored many waterfalls on trail and off, and discovered some
seldom-seen spectacular falls and swimming holes off the beaten
path. One place even has a natural rock waterslide! It's
interesting to visit the same waterfall all four seasons, seeing it
frozen in the winter, raging in the spring, inviting a swim in the
summer, and peaceful in the fall. Check out these
