The club membership fee pays for:

Gear & equipment (thousands and thousands of dollars worth)
- Members use club gear on club trips for free!
Charitable Donations
Office, website development & hosting, advertising and management expenses.
- The Manager works for the club full time -- mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends -- to continuously improve the club and to act on your ideas and suggestions. This is not a club run by someone on his/her spare time (those clubs tend to fizzle away when that person gets busy with his/her main career).

The participation fee savings will pay for your membership fee if you attend an adventure approx. just once every other month!

Membership fee: the longer you sign up for, the cheaper it works out to be per month. The one-year membership fee works out to $21 per month (or just $19 for full-time college / grad students with an ID card).

For the cost of just one dinner out per month, instead you gain access to ~60 to 90 activities per month, every month all year long!

Couples Discount
If a couple joins the club at the same time, the couple saves a total of:

HALF PRICE on the 2nd person’s membership if both join the Month-to-Month FlexiPlan
$20 off the "6 Months" plan above, or
$40 off the "12 Months" plan above

Please note:

"Couple" is defined as two people who are engaged or married, or two people who are living together and want to get married but laws prevent them from doing so. If you are not a "couple" as defined above please do not bend the rules and try for a discount. We would like to keep offering this special deal.
If taking advantage of the half price on 2nd person's membership option, if either person in the couple cancels his/her membership, his/her partner's membership will continue at the regular rate (not the half price rate).
To use the 6 or 12 Months Couples Discount, each person signs up for the 6 or 12 months plan. The total payment due is the sum of the two plans, minus $20 or $40 as appropriate.

Live 60+ Miles Away Discount
Is your home address 60+ miles away from our Charlottesville office, as defined by clicking "Directions" here? Or, do you live within 60 miles of Charlottesville, but only two nights per week? If yes to either, then we recognize it’s not quite as easy for you to get to some of our activities. As such, we’ll cut any membership plan of your choosing in HALF
